Our Stock
High quality stock sold from coast to coast
Polypays are known for being prolific and production-oriented. On our farm, we work hard to balance genetics and phenotype—utilizing data we collect for the National Sheep Improvement Program and knowledge of quality livestock confirmation to make breeding decisions. Every year we have a limited amount of ewe lambs and stud rams for sale. Please contact us at 270-227-8731 for more information. Any purchases should be reserved in the fall to ensure opportunities to buy.
Breeding Stock Sales Policy
Rams require a $500 deposit to hold and an additional $500 at pickup. Almost all of our ram lambs are banded in the jug so reservations should be made and deposits paid during lambing (September through December). We do not keep or hold rams on the farm for sale throughout the year. All ram lambs will either be reserved at lambing or wethered.
Ewe lambs are priced at $350 at weaning (60 days of age) and increase in price by $50 for every month thereafter of feeding and care, prorated as necessary. A $100 deposit per animal is required to hold ewe lambs and the remaining balance will be paid upon pickup.
All sales agreements are based on availability and needs for our own operation. We reserve the right to refuse sale for any reason at any time before an agreement is made and a deposit is paid. If you visit the farm, you will be given a group of animals to choose from for purchase. Please respect that other animals on the farm belong to us or have been reserved by others and are not for sale unless indicated.
No animals will be held without the proper deposit. Just calling, texting, emailing, etc. with interest or intent to buy does not hold animals.
Deposits are non-refundable and are used to feed and care for held animals. All animals must be completely paid for and picked up no later than six months after their birth date. If we are still in possession of the animal after six months, the hold will be lifted, the deposit will not be refunded, and the animals will be sold elsewhere.
All registrations and registration fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
Arranging shearing and foot care after taking possession is the responsibility of the buyer. We do not recommend buying wool sheep without securing a shearer first. Finding a shearer in the South for a small flock is not an easy task. To maintain the health of our flock, we do not allow sheep from other flocks to be sheared with ours.
